Korin supported us in the birth of our baby girl in July 2014. This was our second birth, but our first time working with a doula, and we are so happy with the decision! We decided to choose a doula primarily because our first birth experience was long and complicated - an induced twin birth that resulted in one vaginal delivery and one C-Section. While our twins were blessedly healthy, the birth experience itself felt very out of our hands and stressful. This time, we wanted to do everything possible to try to have a calm, empowering VBAC. We were so lucky to get just what we hoped for, and Korin was a big part of helping that happen.

Our baby came 4 weeks early and we ended up at a hospital that we hadn't expected. I texted Korin just after my water broke, and despite the early labor and change of location, Korin was immediately available and engaged. She beat me to the hospital!

My husband had initially been wary that a doula would replace his role in the birthing room, but this couldn't have been farther from the truth. Korin helped him better understand how to support me during labor by discussing positions, breathing, affirmations, etc. in the months leading up to the birth. And during labor, she was a boost to his confidence by making gentle suggestions and supporting his direct involvement. We will both be forever grateful for this.

From the first time I met Korin, I knew that her personality would be a match for us. She is kind, gentle, professional, unobtrusive, knowledgeable, and passionate about childbirth. She was certainly the right choice for our family, and I wish everyone had the opportunity to work with her in their birth experience. I highly recommend Korin's doula services.

My husband and I decided to hire a doula after countess friends recommended it. This was our first first baby and we were quite nervous. After meeting Korin for the first time we felt very comfortable with her kind and gentle personality. I did have a hard birth that did end in c-section. Korin helped me labor through the pain with encouragement and stepped in to help ease the pain when needed. Even after having to get interventions- due to induction- Korin never left for all 36+ hours of the process until our little man was born. She helped discuss with us options presented and added another ear to the conversation which is important when you are tired and worn and are not able to understand everything.

From the first time we met, I felt completely comfortable with Korin. It was obvious that she is very passionate about what she does. Being able to talk to her about any pregnancy questions was a great help. When I was in labor, her presence was invaluable. Korin was so supportive of my needs and also in helping move my labor forward. I ended up with a long labor with a few minor complications and without Korins help, I think I might have ended up with a C section. She has also been a great help with all of my breast feeding questions. I would certainly recommend Korin to anyone considering having a doula at their birth!

Korin and I had actually grown up together. We played volleyball and took classes throughout high school. Years later we ended up back together teaching at the same school. Our friendship was strong so it was natural for her to be my doula with the birth of my first child. Korin's spirit is so encouraging and pure. She loves moms and babies and that love comes through her work as a doula. She was a welcome member to our little family for the duration of our pregnancy. Korin was knowledgeable about hypnobirthing, the method of pain management we used. She worked with my husband, sister and mom; teaching them how to support, comfort and encourage me in labor. I loved the time we got to spend together. She just had a way of putting my heart at ease. When it came time to labor, Korin was always there for me; awake even when my family snoozed away. Korin patiently attended to anything I needed, even spraying me with a shower head for an hour. Korin took notes throughout our labor and wrote a beautiful birth story for us. It was amazing hearing the story and realizing how amazing hypnobirthing is! Hours felt like minutes. Even today, Korin is an advocate for mothers. She is always planning events for mothers-to-be; movies, documentaries, classes and workshops. Korin has dedicated her free time to becoming the best doula possible. Korin is a beautiful human and a wonderful doula.

Korin was wonderful to work with. She was our doula for our third child. We didn't know what to expect at first, but once we started working with Korin we knew we made the right choice. She helped my husband by showing him ways that he could help me during labor Which helped us so much and made him able to be a very special part of the process. I set out wanting a natural birth and with Korin's help and support I was able to give birth to a healthy 7lb14 oz baby boy. Korin also stayed after the birth to help me nurse and was available to answer many of my breast feeding questions afterward. My sweet baby is now a year and I have been able to successfully nurse him throughout the year. If you are considering a doula I highly recommend it and recommend Korin White.
